China International Import Expo will carry out the service work for IPR protection Release date:2018-02-05

The protection of intellectual property right (IPR) is the protection of the source of innovation, and it is also an important aspect for fostering a sound business environment. China has always attached great significance to the protection of IPR and regarded it as the long-term benefits for China’s development. China established the legal framework of IPR that complies with international practice and national conditions around its accession to the WTO in 2001. In the practice of IPR protection, China treats domestic and foreign subjects equally without discrimination and fulfills its international obligations and commitments comprehensively. In recent years, China has given more priority to the protection of IPR. The social awareness of IPR has been enhanced and the business environment of legalization, internationalization and facilitation further improved.

The first China International Import Expo will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to November 10, 2018. To enhance the protection of IPR before, during and after the Expo, provide guidance for overseas exhibitors for access to the protection of IPR in China and effectively prevent and quickly solve IPR and other trade disputes that may happen, the Expo will set up the Service Station for IPR Protection and Trade Dispute Resolution, which can provide relevant legal consulting and mediation services for exhibitors and professional purchasers from different countries.

The Expo will publicize relevant information and materials, including information of the Service Station, rule of IPR protection for Expo, guidance on Chinese IPR laws and regulations and links to relevant websites, so as to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the interested parties, ensure the order of the Expo and create sound international trade environment. We would like to join hands with all countries and international organizations to build the China International Import Export as a world-leading one, so as to explore new channels for trade and cooperation among all countries and contribute to the world economy and trade prosperity.
